After puncturing his skin at 13 years old with a needle and some ink Tommie was infected by the oh-so-familar tattoo addiction, he started pushing ink himself in 1994 and opened up shop with Tattoo Roel in Arnhem, Holland. After one and a half years of needlework there, he moved to the dutch coast and spent a summer at Tattoo Rene in Zandvoort.
To further increase his knowledge and gain more experience he decided to travel abroad and headed over to Brazil together with Rinus from FineLine Tattoo (Middelburg, Holland) and Sieto of Yugen Tattoo (Veenendaal). He spent a fair amount of time roaming through the beautiful brazilian scenery, spending time slinging ink at Russo in Cabo Frio, Ivan Crazy in Nitero and Arrayo da Cabo after which he packed up his gear and spent a little while in equally beautiful Argentina.
Getting back to the flat country of Holland for just a month he stumbled upon Hans van der Bor who happened to own a tattoo shop in Gran Canaria, fittingly titled 'Canary Tattoo', he offered Tom a job after which he spent one and a half years hammering his art into tanned tourist skin on this sunbathed island.
Regularly visiting Holland in the meantime he kept busy every so often doing guestwork at Ok Corral in Amersfoort, Tattoo Palace in Amsterdam and Tattoo Mick in Dordrecht. Then Amsterdam Tattooing persuaded him to permantly seek employment in the dutch captital, which he did for two and a half years followed by a short period of time at Andre Sparta (Sparta Tattoo) in Hoorn, Miranda in Rotterdam and again Tattoo Mick in Dordrecht.
September the 25th 2001 saw the birth of 'Triple Seven Tattoo', Tommie got the key of his own tattoo shop in Ahaus, Germany.
As of june 2006 Tommie is back on the road, his travelling spirit reared itself once more so triple7tattoo has been closed for an, as of yet, uncertain period of time and Tom is splitting his time hammering ink into skin between Great Brittain, Holland and Germany doing all sorts of guest work in various shops.
